PHASE III: COMPLETED
We have completed Phase III which was most critical to us! Thank you for your financial support. It was desperately needed. The IRS charged a user fee for an exemption application (filing Form 1023). *The amount of the user fee depends on the applying organization's average annual gross receipts. If the organization's average annual gross receipts have exceeded or will exceed $10,000 annually over a four-year period, the fee is $850. If gross receipts have not exceeded or will not exceed $10,000 annually over a four-year period, the user fee is $400.
We raised $600 so we could file Form 1023. We submitted that money along with Form 1023 to the IRS for 501c3 status. Your generosity made it all possible. Thank you! We ask that you continue to give and help us make a difference in the community.

PHASE II: COMPLETED
We have completed Form 1023. *Form 1023 is an application for Recognition of Exemption Under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Organizations file this form to apply for recognition of exemption from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3).
Now, we've moved to Phase III. Donate today, and help us submit Form 1023 to the IRS. Your generosity will make it all possible.

PHASE I: COMPLETED
We have completed Phase I. It's official! The Pillar of Hope, Inc. is a nonprofit community development organization. We received our Certificate of Formation which is a *document filed with state authorities (usually the Secretary of State or Division of Corporations, depending on the state) to form a limited liability company (LLC).

PHASE V: LOCATE A NEEDY COMMUNITY
We know that it is essential for TPOH to be planted in a community that needs our services and will benefit the most. Phase 5 opens the door for us to research neighborhoods that are located in a food desert, an underserved community. “The organization will continue to be web-based for the first three to five years as the owner…The marketing strategy is to continue passing out flyers about the currently available services in addition to that, the nonprofit organization will continue utilizing social media as a marketing tool. Marketing strategy for POHI is to market to the masses via social media or the radio” (Arnecia Glenn, 2021).

PHASE VI: SECURE PROPERTY AND/OR BUILDING
The Pillar of Hope Community Development Center will be a multi-purpose, state-of-the-art community center in Houston, Texas. Along with a facility to meet the needs of our community family, we will expand our services and begin offering memberships. “All services will be provided free or determined by family size and income. The Pillar of Hope Community Membership plan is all-inclusive and can be paid yearly or monthly” (Arnecia Glenn, 2021).
